How wool changes the installation
A heavier, denser fibre asks more of the measure, the seam plan and the stretch than a builder-grade carpet does.
Heavier rolls, tighter measuring
Wool broadloom weighs more per square metre, so it is cut and carried differently and there is less room to correct a measurement once the roll is open.
Seams planned against the light
Seams are set to run with the daylight and away from the main walking line, then heat sealed with tape so the edges cannot fray open.
Stretched, not kicked into place
A pile with this much weight in it will creep if it was only kicked in. The floor is power stretched wall to wall and trimmed into the strip so the tension holds.

Air the rooms for three days
Open the windows and run fans for the first three days after the floor is laid, so the new-carpet odour clears.
